Bob Rubin, CLU, ChFC has been a trusted leader in the financial services industry for more than 30 years. He is a national speaker and media expert on estate planning, wealth transfer and wealth strategies for business owners. Specializing in the design and implementation of advanced wealth planning strategies for families, executives and entrepreneurs, Bob and his team help clients navigate the complexities of investment management and financial planning to chart stronger financial futures.

I’m a problem-solver at heart, always excited to face the next challenge. Finances are complicated — more so for business owners. Not only do business owners worry about their personal wealth and welfare, but also that of their staff. I help navigate the ever-increasing complexities of investment management and financial planning.

Rubin Wealth Advisors was born after 25 years of working with major financial firms. Now, I can support business owners and families who need guidance to achieve their goals. When faced with financial obstacles, I help them make smarter, more informed decisions. I like to go beyond the “average” advisor. I want a deep understanding of your personal and financial needs and your wants and goals for the future.

My favorite story is of a client/friend who called me because they wanted to make their daughter’s trip to D.C. more memorable. I connected them with friends in the White House, so she — and her entire class — could have a tour.

I like to keep connected with the minds of tomorrow, as well. As a member of the Board of Trustees at Florida Atlantic University and a former member of the FAU Foundation Board, I provide direction and support. I’m also a member of the national board for Turning Point USA, helping to identify, empower, organize and mobilize conservative students.

When I’m not in the office, you can usually find me hanging out with my family. We love going to Panthers hockey games, track days at Palm Beach International Raceway, sports car events like the 12 hours of Sebring and 24 hours of Le Mans and spending time with friends at the shooting range. As the family of a child with autism, we hold the cause very close to our hearts. We take part in many fundraisers for organizations. We raised significant funds for Autism After 21, and I also work with Transitioning Owls at FAU. The group helps students with disabilities adapt to college life while receiving vocational training.

I have experience in tax minimization, wealth, charitable work, business succession and executive compensation planning. Additionally, I have experience in structuring the acquisition and sale of assets, property, and businesses.

KEVIN MALONE - OUTSOURCED CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

As RWA’s Outsourced Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Founder of Greenrock Research, Kevin assists with investment research and portfolio construction while providing additional depth to our executive team.

Kevin has spent his career in investment management and pension consulting. He created and grew the pension consulting group at Paine Webber into one of the premier consulting firms for middle market funds in the country. Kevin then co-founded McBryan, Malone and Russell, an investment management firm specializing in options strategies. He managed portfolios there and at Alliance Capital Management before creating Greenrock in 1996. He founded Greenrock to provide customized investment research to RIAs and Wealth Managers.

As RWA’s OCIO, Mark, along with Kevin, provides additional investment research capabilities to RWA while enhancing our portfolio construction process.

His passion for investment knowledge and dedication to serving clients is a natural fit his responsibilities. Mark has 15 years of investment experience working with Broker/Dealers, RIA’s, Credit Unions, Bank & Trust Departments and Family Offices. He has extensive experience with domestic fixed income, domestic & international long only equities and covered call writing strategies via SMA’s & mutual funds.

His investment experience has primarily revolved around risk management with high active share portfolios with an emphasis on risk adjusted returns & downside capture ratio.
Prior to joining Greenrock Research and RWA, Mark was Vice President & Regional Director for Madison Investment Advisors, Inc. Mark attended Wharton Business School and has obtained the CIMA designation.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid golfer as well a golf volunteer.

Michele Knowlton - Client Relationship Manager

Michele brings more than 30 years of experience to the RWA Team.  For nearly 20 years she has worked with portfolio accounting for large mutual funds and institutional accounts.  Shifting paths a little, she started working with smaller wealth management firms almost 15 years ago.  Much of her experience has focused on  investment data to include analysis and reporting of that data for wealth management providers.  For a brief time she even leveraged her data skills with to work with a music sharing app – a far cry from the world of finance! Throughout her career, she has been very involved with financial services software development projects ranging from large scale accounting systems to financial systems designed to meet the reporting needs of individual clients

Her husband and she relocated to sunny Florida from the Northeast in 2004 and spend their time enjoying the warm weather, their cocker spaniel Charlie,  and cooking good food.

Today, she uses her in-depth knowledge of investment data analysis and portfolio accounting to help the RWA team and our clients.  Beyond assisting clients with paperwork and account services, she works closely with Bob and the team to find better, more efficient, and more personal ways to help our clients with their financial goals.

Helping his friends and clients find the best solution for their financial situations brings Michael real joy.  He uses his knowledge, resources, wisdom, and integrity to make it happen.

He began his career path when he started a property and casualty agency at twenty years old. By 1996, he launched a virtual life insurance company in Illinois. Not wanting to slow down, he soon became supervisor of the entire southeast territory for a large financial services firm. Eventually, Michael moved on to working with Crump, one of the largest life insurance brokerage firms in the USA.

I recently re-married; after the loss of my first wife at age 39.  I know the heartache and challenges of death and change.  We can all survive, grow, and learn from it.  I have! My wife Lynda and I love doing anything outdoors, concerts and theatre productions, baseball and football game, biking and binging the occasional Netflix series.

My experience spans 35 years, from helping clients to grow their wealth to helping them keep their wealth. I also enjoy working with clients in the areas of tax planning, business planning, and benefits management. My objective is to ensure their financial future is secure.
